The Manali Gompa – Also Known As The Gadhan Thekchhokling Gompa

Build in 1960s the Manali Gompa is a very important place for the Buddhists.  This monastery also serves as a gathering place for Buddhist coming from Lahaul, Nepal and Tibet. Within the premises you’ll find shops selling beautiful Tibetan handicrafts. This place is also very popular among tourist, backpackers, families and senior citizen. The Monastery is adorned by a yellow pagoda-styled roof.

 

If you are enthusiastic about Buddhist culture and history then you can see the famous wall paintings, Chortens, a large statue of Lord Buddha and the names of people who were killed in Tibetan occupation.
