Untouched Beauty

Lahual lies at a height of 2745 metres above sea level and is separated by the 4551m Kunzum La from the Kullu Valley. With Keylong as its capital, Lahaul is surrounded mostly by rugged mountainous terrain and massive glaciers. Chandra and Bhaga, the two rivers which rise on either side of Baralacha La flow through the valleys here. You’ll find Lahual more developed in comparison to Spiti. The region is abundant with Buddhist art and culture, reminisces of which can be seen in ancient murals, thankas, wood carving and golden images of Padmasambhava found here.
