Hello everyone,
We are planning a 7-day Himachal Pradesh trip covering Shimla, Kullu, and Manali from Delhi. We are a group of 4 friends and want to understand the approximate budget for transportation, hotels, food, sightseeing, and local travel.
Is it better to book a complete package or plan everything separately? Also, please suggest some budget-friendly hotels and must-visit places during the trip.
Any money-saving tips or travel advice would be really helpful. Thanks!
For a group of 4 friends, a 7-day trip covering Shimla, Kullu and Manali can cost around ₹12,000–20,000 per person, depending on hotel category, transport, and activities. If you’re looking for convenience, a package can be a good option, but planning separately often gives more flexibility and can save money if you compare hotel and cab rates carefully. Must-visit places include Kufri in Shimla, Bijli Mahadev in Kullu, and Solang Valley plus Atal Tunnel side in Manali. To save money, travel in a shared cab or tempo traveller, book hotels in advance, and avoid last-minute bookings during peak season.
