Start your journey from Srinagar, the capital city of Jammu and Kashmir, in the morning. The distance between Srinagar and Gulmarg is approximately 56 kilometers (35 miles), which takes around 1.5 to 2 hours by road. Enjoy the scenic drive through the beautiful Kashmir Valley as you make your way to Gulmarg. Upon reaching Gulmarg, check into your hotel and freshen up. Spend the rest of the day exploring the local area and taking in the natural beauty of Gulmarg. You can visit the Gulmarg Golf Course, one of the highest golf courses in the world, and take a leisurely walk around the picturesque meadows.
Start your journey from Srinagar in the morning. The distance between Srinagar and Kargil is approximately 205 kilometers (127 miles) via NH1 and takes around 6 to 7 hours by road. Enjoy the scenic drive as you pass through picturesque landscapes, including the famous Sonamarg (Meadow of Gold) and the Zojila Pass. Make a stop at Sonamarg to soak in the breathtaking views of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, and gushing rivers. Continue your journey to Kargil and upon reaching, check into your hotel. Spend the evening exploring the local market and getting acquainted with the town.
Start your journey from Kargil to Leh in the morning. The distance between Kargil and Leh is approximately 230 kilometers (143 miles) and takes around 5 to 6 hours by road. Enjoy the scenic drive as you pass through the rugged landscapes of the Ladakh region. Make a stop at Lamayuru Monastery, one of the oldest and most spectacular monasteries in Ladakh. Continue your journey to Leh and upon reaching, check into your hotel. Spend the rest of the day acclimatizing to the high altitude and exploring the local area.
Visit Nubra via Khardungla Pass at 18360 ft., one of the world's highest motorable pass.On the way to Nubra, you will visit the Diskit Monastery. The Maitreya Budha statue which is 32 m high can be seen far from here. Nubra is famous for sand dunes and two-humped camels. Take a camel ride in the evening and return to the camp.
After an early breakfast, proceed to Pangong. Pangong Lake is a saltwater body of 120 km in length and 6 – 7 Km broad at the longest point. It is bisected by the international border between India & China (2/3 of the lake is in China’s possession). Visit the exact location of the famous movie “Three idiots” & enjoy an outing along the banks of the lake. One feels very close to nature at Pangong Lake with its scenic surroundings. On a clear sunny day, you can see seven colour formations in the crystal clear saltwater lake. Overnight stay in Pangong. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner
The journey from Pangong Lake to Leh is a scenic one, offering breathtaking views of the Ladakh region. As you leave the pristine beauty of Pangong Lake, you'll traverse through rugged mountain passes and vast barren landscapes. The route takes you through picturesque villages and alongside the Indus River. Keep your camera handy to capture the stunning vistas along the way, as you make your way back to the vibrant town of Leh.
Visit some of the famous monasteries around Leh. Explore Hemis Monastery, Shey Monastery, and Stakna Monastery. Experience the spiritual and serene atmosphere of these monastic sites. Return to Leh for the night.
After having your breakfast in the morning, complete the check out formalities at the hotel. Later, you will be transferred to the airport for your onwards journey. Fly out of Leh and say goodbye to your fellow travellers and this magical land.
