Khajinag Temple – The Divine Naag Devta Temple

The beautiful town of Khajjiar takes its name from the Khajinag Temple. Constructed back in the 12th century, this temple is dedicated to the Naag Devta (local deity). Being one of the most highly regarded shrines and pilgrims, it attracts tourists and visitors from all over the place. Wooden images of the Pandava brothers, images of the Pandavas and the Kauravas hanging from the roof are really fascinating to watch. The temple and the area around have overwhelming beauty with lush green meadows, forests and a small pristine lake in the centre of the khajjiar. The place has spectacular scenic landscapes with decent tourism facilities.
