I’m planning a trip to Manali with my friends and we really want to experience snowfall. Can anyone suggest which month is best to see proper snowfall? Also, will roads and sightseeing be accessible during that time or not?
Any suggestions or recent experiences would really help.
The best time to experience proper snowfall in Manali is from late December to February. January is usually the peak time when chances of fresh snowfall are highest.
During this period, roads to Manali are mostly open, but you can face delays due to heavy snow. Local sightseeing is generally accessible, though places like Rohtang Pass may be closed. However, areas like Solang Valley and Atal Tunnel side are usually open and good for snow experience.
Just plan with some buffer time and be prepared for cold weather, and you should have a great trip.
