Arrive in Leh, the capital of Ladakh, and take it easy to acclimatize to the high altitude. Rest and drink plenty of fluids to combat the effects of altitude.
Visit Shanti Stupa, a beautiful Buddhist white-domed stupa, offering panoramic views of Leh. Explore Leh Palace, a former royal palace and a perfect vantage point to witness the city's beauty. Stroll through the local markets and buy traditional Ladakhi handicrafts.
Drive to the picturesque Sham Valley and visit Likir and Alchi monasteries, known for their ancient murals and artifacts. En route, stop at Magnetic Hill and the confluence of the Indus and Zanskar rivers.
