Itinerary
Start your journey from Chandigarh early in the morning. Drive to Manali, which is approximately an 8-9 hour drive. Check into your hotel in Manali and relax after the long drive. Explore Manali if time permits.
Start your journey towards Jispa via Rohtang Pass. Visit Rohtang Pass and enjoy the scenic beauty. Continue your drive to Jispa (approximately 6-7 hours). Check into a hotel or guesthouse in Jispa.
Start your day early and drive towards Jispa. Enroute, visit Baralacha Pass and Suraj Tal. Arrive in Sarchu, a high-altitude desert campsite. Spend the night in tents and acclimatize to the high altitude.
Spend the day exploring Leh. Visit Shey Palace, Shanti Stupa, Leh Palace, and the Leh Market. Acquire any permits you may need for upcoming trips to restricted areas.
Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the world's highest motorable passes. Visit Diskit Monastery and Hunder Sand Dunes. Enjoy a camel safari in the sand dunes. Stay overnight in a Nubra Valley camp.
After breakfast, drive to Pangong Lake, a stunning high-altitude lake. Enroute, visit the charming village of Durbuk and the Shyok River. Arrive at Pangong Lake in the evening and stay in a lakeside camp.
Spend the morning at Pangong Lake, enjoying the breathtaking scenery. Drive back to Leh in the afternoon. Reach Leh by evening and rest.
Start your journey towards Zanskar Valley, particularly Padum. This is a long drive, so be prepared for around 12 hours on the road. Enjoy the stunning landscapes along the way. Check into your accommodation in Padum.
